"Aiming for Success by Overcoming Obstacles"

Under the theme: "Aiming for Success by Overcoming Obstacles", ten students from Grade 6 were promoted to Grade 7, at the Grand Bahama Academy Promotion Service which was held June 13, 2022. This event took place on the grounds of Grand Bahama Academy. The passing of the torch was presented to Brehon Pratt from the Valedictorian and Celeste Pinder from the Salutatorian.

Our promotional service speaker was Dr. Jasmin Turner Dareus who charged the graduates to apply the four Es’ in their individual lives: Endurance, Education, Excellence and Earnest. She reminded the students to always put God first and that obstacles set the path for success. She also gifted three students with laptops for academic excellence. The recipients were: Elihu Mackey, Valedictorian, Prinnia Parker, Salutatorian and Skyler Smith for Highest GPA in Grade 6. In attendance were our Education Director, Mr. Anthony Burrows, Executive Secretary, Pastor Andrew Burrows, Conference Treasurer, Mrs. Tonia Palmer, Principal, Mr. Jeffery Jervis, Business Manager Mrs. Sherell Adderley, along with staff, family, and well-wishers.
