On Sunday June 12, 2022, Grand Bahama Academy held its 14th senior high school commencement ceremony under the theme “Creating Endless Possibilities”. The Honorable Wayne R. Munroe, Minister of National Security, was the commencement speaker. His speech to the graduates was centered on the theme and the Bible verse Matthew 19:26 which states; Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.” Mr. Munroe encouraged the graduates to place God first in everything that they do, study hard, be prepared for opportunities and they will be able to create endless possibilities. He reiterated the fact that The Bahamas is depending on this generation to move the nation forward and the Bahamas Government will support the young people to ensure their success.

Among the highlights of the program was the intellectual speech given by the class of 2022 Valedictorian Miss. Robernique Braynen. Miss. Braynen acknowledged the endless possibilities that awaits herself and fellow graduates. She encouraged them to pursue their future career so that they can be of service to their communities and the Bahamas. Miss. Lauryn Hanna, the Salutatorian, used her platform to express gratitude to her classmates who accompanied her through the challenges and successes of her educational journey. Miss. Hanna also thanked her parents and the entire staff of Grand Bahama Academy for their hard work and dedication which contributed to her education.
